Boiler Manufacturer Relocates To Highcross’ Finepoint

The Grandee Energy Group, manufacturer of domestic central heating systems, has relocated to Highcross’ Finepoint business park at Kidderminster.The company, which was previously based in Birmingham, has taken a 10,329 sq ft unit on a ten-year lease. The 18-acre Finepoint scheme is being developed by Highcross in conjunction with Graftongate Developments and currently includes ten industrial/warehouse units ranging from 5,656 sq ft – 11,298 sq ft and a bespoke 27,500 sq ft unit, built for City Link.
The Grandee Energy Group manufactures a range of high efficiency oil fired condensing boilers and is now launching a new hybrid oil/electricity boiler. Managing director, John Bosworth, said the company’s decision to select Finepoint reflected the competitive price, location and amenities:
“With customers based across the UK, we needed a central location with easy access to the motorway and Finepoint offered the additional benefits of a well-organised, attractive and secure site. The realistic and flexible lease arrangements were also a major factor in encouraging us to move to the area.”
In May, Highcross announced the sale of a 2.6 acre plot at Finepoint to Wyre Forest District Council, for its new headquarters and work is also due to start this year on a new serviced office centre at the development, which will be operated by Highcross subsidiary, Pure Offices.
Highcross development surveyor, Tom Gormley, said: “This latest letting, following on the heels of our major deal with Wyre Forest District Council underlines the attractions of Finepoint for companies requiring office, industrial or warehouse space. In addition to the four remaining industrial/warehouse units completed in phase one, we have some exciting design and build opportunities up to 120,000 sq ft for office or industrial/warehouse use, including a plot with outline consent for approximately 15,000 sq ft of office space”.
Finepoint is located off the A451 Minster Road, three miles south of Kidderminster town centre and within easy reach of the M5. The scheme, which is the largest new industrial and business development in Kidderminster for many years, will provide more than 320,000 sq ft of accommodation when complete.
